Inaugural Class

Comments on Summer 2007 Training

“My favorite aspect of the training was the communinty building theme that was woven into the very fabric of the program. I appreciated the administration’s recognition of the importance of breaking barriers and establishng personal connections to the work and, more importantly, to each other.”

“I would definitely recommend SPDTC to a friend.  Law school simply does not give practical education for work as a public defender.  All of the hypothetical exercises were helpful because they let you practice skills necessary to provide zealous representation in an environment where uselful feedback and guidance were available.”

”I had many favorite aspects of the program.  The camaraderie, the skills workshops, the exposure to many different defense attorneys from around the country were some of my favorites.”

“Everyone was so unique, powerful in thier own way and unbelievable.”
